I find it interesting that when ecigarettes first started gaining popularity several years ago, they were marketed purely as smoking cessation tools. It was quite easy to step down the nicotine levels from 20mg/ml to 12mg/ml to 6mg/ml to 0mg/ml, eventually quitting nicotine altogether. That doesn't seem like a very good business model, though, which I'm guessing is why the industry has shifted away from being focused on smoking or nicotine cessation and instead focused on tobacco replacement.
Rather than outright banning the devices, I would prefer if the government required that the producers to offer lower levels of nicotine and provide a path to quitting nicotine altogether.
I also strongly disagree with the previous rulings that banned fruity flavoured e-juices. I don't understand the logic behind this. It's akin to banning Smirnoff Ice because underage people are more likely to choose that over straight vodka. Adults have taste buds, too.
