Ask HN: How to find and download every Markdown file in GitHub
How can we find and download at once all markdown files in github or have them filtered further by CLI ?
- withinboredom 4y agoBut why? This is rather trivial to do, but I’m curious why you’d ever want to do this and have you considered how much disk space you’d need?

- withinboredom 4y agoI recommend using the tree API (https://docs.github.com/en/rest/git/trees https://docs.github.com/en/rest/git/trees) if you already know the repositories. The tree API is also useful if you also want to query the file history.
