I think that copyright and patent should be abolished, but that if it is secret then it is still secret (unless someone else manages to come up with the same thing (e.g. by decompiling a published computer program to reconstruct the source code), which case it can be public). And so then also the AI can copy the code too just as much as you may do so manually; if it is published then you can do it and it should not be illegal to write such things.
