US bans all products from Juul
- cryptonector 4y agoThis could make for a very interesting court case.
- Clubber 4y agoJuul is the only thing that got me off cigarettes. It would suck for it to be banned. It's like the FDA has it out for them, leaving all the other companies that sell vaping products alone. Kinda weird.
- moaf 4y agoI find it interesting that when ecigarettes first started gaining popularity several years ago, they were marketed purely as smoking cessation tools. It was quite easy to step down the nicotine levels from 20mg/ml to 12mg/ml to 6mg/ml to 0mg/ml, eventually quitting nicotine altogether. That doesn't seem like a very good business model, though, which I'm guessing is why the industry has shifted away from being focused on smoking or nicotine cessation and instead focused on tobacco replacement. Rather than outright banning the devices, I would prefer if the government required that the producers to offer lower levels of nicotine and provide a path to quitting nicotine altogether. I also strongly disagree with the previous rulings that banned fruity flavoured e-juices. I don't understand the logic behind this. It's akin to banning Smirnoff Ice because underage people are more likely to choose that over straight vodka. Adults have taste buds, too.
- 1MachineElf 4y agoI didn't see this coming, but coincidentally, I quit nicotine one week ago. My Juuls all went into the recycling bin.
