BRIEF. Brief cross-partisan conversations. Does HN automatically remove "brief" at the beginning of titles?

  It was the length limit. I thought a few things were muddled in the thinking behind this research, probably most of all it is happening in an environment where people make their policy preferences conform to their tribe rather than choosing a tribe that conforms to their preferences. I'd think you could get people out of it for a short time if you got them talking about some question like "What color to paint the bikeshed?" which the tribes haven't gotten around to taking positions on. Should somebody make the slightest mistake and use a keyword which is triggering ("Isn't that Laissez-faire?") then I think the polarization will come right back.
