They're literally criminalising math...
What's next, criminalising the act of speaking in languages the police don't understand?
- coldtea 4y ago>They're literally criminalising math... Well, in the sense that criminalizing stabbing someone is the same as "criminalising hand movements". There are better defenses to be made for encryption than "but it's math".
- anonym29 4y agoYeah, because this was obviously my best-effort attempt at defending encryption, rather than simply mocking the arrogance of the parasitic bureaucrats who assume it's even possible (let alone achievable) to put the genie of encryption back in the bottle.
- coldtea 4y ago>Yeah, because this was obviously my best-effort attempt at defending encryption It obviously was your "best-effort", since it was your only effort. The comment didn't include any other. And whether you meant it just as sarcasm or not, many put it forward sincerely, as if it matters.
- megalottachoc 4y agoSo, I take it I'm not allowed to use encrypted connections to do internet banking? Unless I'm mistaken, it's like they're working for a scam technical support racket who call the phone at midnight and talk in a foreign accent.
