- CharlesW 4y ago> ‘Bubble gum flavour’ is just a less common variant of mint. "Bubble gum" flavor is a combination of fruity flavors. No mint. https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/what-is-bubblegum-flavor https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/what-is-bubblegum-flavo... > People think it’s a made-up flavour but it isn’t. It is a made-up flavor, originally created by Thomas Adams.
- chrisseaton 4y ago> No mint. Other sources disagree. https://candyflavor.com/How_To_Make_Bubble_Gum_Flavor.html https://candyflavor.com/How_To_Make_Bubble_Gum_Flavor.html > the key is really in the wintergreen, cinnamon and clove
- CharlesW 4y agoInteresting, I've never tasted a minty bubblegum flavor. I have had "bubblemint" flavored gum, which tastes quite different to me.
- chrisseaton 4y agoIt’s mint botanically but it doesn’t taste of mint gastronomically. It tastes a bit of bubblegum!
- CharlesW 4y agoOh, wow! TIL
- oasisbob 4y agoLest people be misled, the full recipe as listed: > 3 parts banana flavor, 3 parts pineapple flavor, 2 parts wintergreen, 1 part cinnamon and 1 part clove.
