This is a beautiful and ambitious project. If you’re unaccustomed to listening to historically-informed recordings of these works, the tuning can be a bit jarring at first. We are so accustomed to hearing them at A ∼ 440.
- j7ake 4y agoIs it jarring even for people without perfect pitch? I would have imagined it would only matter for people who can actually distinguish 440hz vs 425 hz etc...
