Lex Clips titled this "Steve Jobs was an a*hole", but I feel it is more illuminating to highlight Tony's classification of an a*hole as either motivated by ego (destructive) or motivated by mission (constructive). Constructive a*holes exhibit unrelenting attention to detail and service to mission, without bullying or demeaning others. “Steve Jobs was an asshole with a purpose.” Tony is a great storyteller here with his story about plastic to glass on the iPhone.
- WalterGR 4y agoHa! Messrs. Fadell and Fridman might take issue with how you've phrased the title.
- stevenjgarner 4y agoThat's funny - thanks for the heads up. In context I hope that at least one of them would be flattered. I added the "by" and the "with" hoping to clarify.
- WalterGR 4y agoI think that change clarifies it nicely. :)
