- LeafItAlone 4y agoJuul is owned by in part Altria, formerly Philip Morris Companies, Inc.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altria https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altria How does this help them?
- Veen 4y agoJuul is 35% owned by Altria (formerly known as Philip Morris, Inc.). Vuse, another large ecig company, is wholly owned by Reynolds American, the second-largest tobacco company in the US and a subsidiary of British American Tobacco, the largest tobacco company in the world. At this point, the ecig industry is big tobacco.
- mjthrowaway1 4y agoThese are the mainstream e-cigs. Vape shops pushing disposables is still a big market. There will be no new cigarette companies. As long as you continue the whack-a-mole against new entrants your customer base is protected. Altria surely didn’t want Juul to get regulated out of existence. But the rest of the majors did.

- mattkrause 4y agoI can't decide if you're expecting people to answer yes, as if Big Tobacco is nobbling the competition, or no (because Big Tobacco owns huge stakes in the e-cig companies).
