- jleyank 4y ago18.4 cents / 500 cents is roughly 3.7%. Helpful, but more a political game than a real contribution. They're proposing this kind of showmanship in all countries, but better to give cash directly to those in need rather than just to those buying gasoline.

- jleyank 4y agoGoogle says the New York gas tax is roughly 30 cents/gallon - call it 5% or so? Better, but it's like saving the cost of a Big Mac, maybe with fries?
