I wonder how this naming scheme continues and why are they skipping over half the numbers given that this set will soon run to 0. 7nm - 5nm - 3nm - 1nm. What’s next?
- nobodywasishere 4y agoIt's decreasing by 25-30% every time, so after 1nm you'd just go into Angstroms
- Akronymus 4y agoWhy angstroms and not picometers?
- nobodywasishere 4y agoYour guess is as good as mine
- LeifCarrotson 4y agoThey're probably trying to get to angstroms as fast as possible, just imagine the marketing copy that a new unit of measurement makes possible!
- wetpaws 4y agoIntel uses angstroms past 1nm
- mensetmanusman 4y agoI can’t wait until the node marketing reaches length-scales smaller than the diameter of hydrogen.
- mkl 4y agoHelium atoms are smaller than hydrogen atoms. Hydrogen ions are just protons so are smaller still.
