I think you might misunderstand what "deserve" means. You do not deserve to go bankrupt if you don't have health insurance. you do not deserve to lose your life savings if someone robs your bank. Yes, people have a responsibility to manage their money, their health, and their data loss risk. Failing in that responsibility does not mean that those consequences are somehow moral imperatives.
