At least as these stories start to surface, this madness will subside. I've never met anyone over the age of 25 who agrees on the insanity of sterilising children based on what they say they feel like. And no, I am in fact very left leaning and have regular contact with people across the political spectrum. A 12 year old barely understands the concept of sex and cannot even be entrusted with deciding what to eat for dinner because they're too young and inexperienced. What happens is that we've let the crazy "activists" steer the appearance of public opinion by sitting back quiet, afraid of being ostracised. No, I'm not homophobic, I'm not racist, I'm not religious, I just want these decisions delayed for when the person is an adult and not a vulnerable dependant adolescent.
