These sanctions have done nothing but harm us and Europe, and forcing Russia and China to work more closely together. We’re still buying fertilizer from Russia behind the scenes. The ruble is higher in value than it was when the war started.
- Arnt 4y agoBut why is the ruble so high? AFAICT, oil companies and a few others are swimming in foreign income and can't spend it (because e.g. Halliburton won't take their money, which is a problem in the long term), most of the rest of the companies around the economy are lacking both income and supplies, both kinds are hurting and the hurt is getting worse. Standing with one foot in ice water and one foot in boiling water doesn't make you comfortable on average.
