Is it possible to increase the price of fossil fuels by increasing demand for plastic (and then burying/sequestering rather than burning that plastic at the end of its useful life)? I know that plastics tend to use different parts of the crude oil mix than typical hydrocarbon fuels, but I'm wondering how the economics of that could work, with the right incentives.
