If two people perform similarly such that a competition between them could go either way, why give a damn which bits they have on?
- sn0w_crash 4y agoThis is why we have weight classes. A 150 lb fighter may be more skilled than a 225 pounder, but will ultimately be crushed under the weight of the opponent. Reach also plays a role, some fighters forced to fight a certain style against taller, ranged opponents. In team sports it is well known throughout history that male body types perform differently than female. This is why we have different leagues. From obvious muscle mass and bone density, to minute aspects such as grip strength, and lesser visible things like the impact of a a lifetime of testosterone on the body’s development, all play factors in determining performance. This is not some ideological view or argumentative stance, it is simply reality.
