One of the signs of an apocalypse/bloat is latency. Watching the industry from the intel 386 era, I’m only seeing it increasing. Every little action takes longer to start. It feels like we (in a larger sense) focused too much on throughput:) The perfect latency device I held was Nintendo DS.
