Search is an insanely complex subject as you probably know. If I were you, I'd give each service a name (as you do now), a cloud name (i.e., AWS) for grouping, plus number of synonyms, and do levenshtein ranked search against those synonyms. So "PG" would match all the different Postgres providers (Aurora, RDS, Datastax..) for instance. Oh, and one more suggestion: make above the fold on the homepage a list of all the services system wide that are down. :)
