Wikipedia people are strange, they don't seem to value privacy at all. I interviewed as a privacy engineer and apparently the whole team would sit all day with their webcams on in a shared chat area, and when I suggested my first priority as a privacy or security engineer would be getting them onto a v3 onion service to reduce load on the network + allow folks to browse free from harm, then pair that with an insider threat program and allowing more folks to use MFA they acted like I was insane.
I actually ended up phoning up the recruiter to complain, because between that odd interaction and the job posting (wanting years of homomorphic encryption experience for a first tier privacy engineer position that was more like a glorified security engineer?) it felt more like an excuse to treat a job search as an intelligence gathering exercise.
(I've since deleted most of the information on my LinkedIn, and view my ban from Twitter + Reddit as possibly a blessing in diguise, since I've noticed a weird trend of folks who pretend to only focus on what is visible while obstructing others from obtaining whatever bullet points would make them "qualified" in the eyes of their literal cabal.
Later on my suspicions were confirmed when this news article came out:

That interview, paired with some conversations I had a CERT and RAND, plus some Defcon hallway convos, deeply disturbed me, though I regret I had the wrong country when I leaned across a table in an SEI interview and said I was happy to defensive work if my data only went to the Americans and not... the Russians.
I know my comment history is a bit... manic and/or erratic, but imagine you literally offered to do work that could have prevented breaches like Solarwinds (or mitigated their harm), and instead had folks quote lines from intercepted telephone conversations and your (out of the cloud) diary, like you were in some real life episode of Mr Robot.
For me, the season finale was declaring I was getting a weed card instead of a gun, only to have a broad coalition of Israelis and insurrectionists try to troll me into suicide.
This is what happens when you play games on my personal phone. I post hard on a Sunday and upvote the OP.
(Don't fuck with a phreak's phone -- and phreaking never died, it was just sleeping, like a parrot pining for the fjords.)
