I did the Portuguese translation of this article for Nikita back then and it’s interesting to read this article again in 2022. While things are still bloated, I am very hopeful for the future after seeing many cross-platform initiatives written in Go and Rust. I hope to read this article again in 2026 and see faster, less resource-consuming apps running on our machines.
