What are the obstacles to a free, open, easy access database that gives a simple trust rating of all known companies? I'd like to be able to hear about a new product and before clicking anything enter it into a reputation search that tells me: - exact corporate structure and where its registered - who owns it - any acquisition history - partners, associates, dealings - what capital backing it has - court orders, debtors, pending litigation - ethics violations - customer service record We need something a little simpler and accessible than Companies House and having to dig deep in order to do basic diligence.
