This exactly! I am a solo maintainer on a very small Android app. I find it very useful when users vote for issues with the :thumbsup: emoji. Otherwise I have no real way of knowing which new features are popular with the community. Comments that add nothing to the issue but just create noise in the notification feed are annoying.
