For me, cryptocurrencies are comparable to a (for now) unregulated variant of the gambling industry. It’s probably a net negative for society but there’s still lots of supply and demand. Speaking of net negative, enough people work for Big Tobacco, mass-market alcohol producers, fast-food giants, in pharmacological animal testing, for investment firms, loan lenders and weapon manufacturers. Arguments can be made for and against any part of these areas. They have benefits and drawbacks. I believe you’ll have to make a value judgement for yourself, whether you’re fine with working on the supply side of things. Some people are, some are not.
