I have a hard time believing that drilling holes every inch and jamming epoxy in there is going to thoroughly perfuse the surrounding wood.

- tomcam 4y agoWhat would you suggest instead?
- kova12 4y agoReplace would be ideal, at least for siding. They used some dreadfully bad materials for siding in 80s which isn't worth keeping
- toomuchtodo 4y agoT1-11?
- kova12 4y agoOh yeah, that one
- toomuchtodo 4y agoTerrible siding but in the appropriate climates, as long as it isn’t rotted, you can stucco over it. Smaller sections that have failed or rotted can be cut out and patched prior to attaching substrate for the stucco.
- NonNefarious 4y agoReplacing it. Kind of a weird question though. Just because I question the efficacy of an approach doesn't mean I have a better one. Maybe the wood simply can't be fixed in place.
- tomcam 4y agoI know very little about restoration so I was trying to learn more. What was weird about the question?
