- exz 4y agoGoogle acquired Rubin in 2005 and Android 1.0 was released in 2008.
- tompark 4y agoGreat example. Another one is Oculus -- acq by FB in 2014, first consumer release in 2016. (Although you could argue that the 2012 kickstarter was a launch.) Also, wasn't Vine prelaunch when it was acquired by Twitter? A recent example this year is Qualcomm's acquisition of Nuvia.
