I love the idea of “fidgetability”. iOS has a lot of it and execution is master class. Dragging down the shortcuts panel from the top or the application switcher from the bottom of the screen has so many effects going on at the same time. There is blur, size changes, movements, bouncing, all in perfect harmony with the motion of your finger but still with different velocity and hysteresis thresholds for opening vs closing to not make it feel like everything is rigidly attached to your finger. What’s best is there’s no added delay to action from the animations, as opposed to the checkbox from OP, it still looks and feels gorgeous, satisfying and unambiguous.
