- MerelyMortal 4y agoI've rarely seen crypto shills here. The vast majority is skeptical of it, and those that do speak out about it, usually speak nuetrally. I have suggested Monero a few times in the past when appropriate, and I've never talked about price action, just utility. I don't think a reasonable person would call my couple of comments, "shilling". There are definitely some shills in the other crypto posts right now, and they are rightly being downvoted.

- MerelyMortal 4y agoTo me personally, I don't really use it except for novelty. When I buy stuff in-person, I use cash because no one needs to know who I am, what I buy, and where I shop; and that extends to everyone those stores and credit card companies share their data with. I use my credit card for online purchases, but I like the idea that even if the store knows where I live to ship me stuff, they can't see who else I shop with, or how much money I have.
