Communism’s body count (so far): 55 million - China 20 million - USSR 2 million - Cambodia 2 million - North Korea 1 million - Vietnam 100k - Latin America There have been few ideas tested at such massive scale as extensively as this and delivered such horrible outcomes. Yet when brought up to its adherents you’ll often hear “that wasn’t real communism” or “ideology doesn’t kill people” or “because capitalist nations intervened” or something else off a laundry list of excuses. I’m a huge fan of Lex but I’ll pass on this religion and I’m not interested in over-analyzing it.
