- wizofaus 4y agoCurious what others' experience with dealing with "drift" has been. The only platform I've been heavily involved in developing/maintaining over the last 4-5 years we've been super strict and doing any infrastructure changes via CF scripts, so drift hasn't been an issue, at least in our prod environment. In fact our non-prod environments get ripped down and rebuilt from scratch (DB instances excepted) almost every day, which basically forces us to do all changes via IaC. Which isn't to say I don't think CF shouldn't have the ability to generate, e.g. CF script changes from drift detection results, it'd be handy in one or two cases for sure.
