I’ve done this for static-ffmpeg with the added bonus of downloading ffmpeg binaries on first use.

- remram 4y agoThat's a bit different than putting it in the wheel. It will not work with tools for vendoring, caching, or mirroring dependencies. It will also stop working if the separate place you get the binaries from breaks or runs out of money or purges that specific version from their site.
