Haha, what C/C++ web framework should I use instead of Django/Rails/JS-whatever? Performance is a consideration, but I'm not going to reinvent a bunch of packages because of it. This kind of blanket comment that "scripting languages are too slow" makes it sound like you shouldn't use them for anything, but they are perfectly adequate for many tasks. I'm more likely to have network and DB slowdowns than problems with scripting languages.
