I wonder of Intel wins back Apple's business in the near future.
- WantonQuantum 4y agoApple’s current situation where it designs CPUs and uses TSMC to fabricate them is very advantageous for them. If Apple uses Intel in the future it would very likely be to fabricate Apple designed CPUs rather than source CPUs from Intel.

Totally agree, but I think that would be fascinating to see. It's essentially the end-goal of a lot of the political/national security growing concern over semiconductor capacity. I could imagine it being pretty subsidized and even a token inclusion at first just due to outside pressures and incentives, but I'm just speculating.
- sct202 4y agoMaybe some, but Intel would need to take steps to prove that they're trustworthy. In the event that Intel's fabs become the best in the future, there's a situation that will happen where Intel might be tempted to use it all up on their own products because that is the most profitable for them.
