One of my parents' cats hated the stuff. They had a small catnip bush in the garden and he wouldn't go near it. Likewise for catnip toys. He did once, however, find that our neighbours had dropped a 'bloo' disinfectant toilet block on their driveway (presumably it fell out of their shopping bag), which had become soggy in the rain. He rolled on it! Considering that the cat was a pure white, sleek-haired Persian, he looked quite the punk cat for several months until the blue patches of fur faded or grew out.
