Microsoft Validation OS
- cowtools 4y agoInteresting, but I cannot imagine a usecase for this. I'll save a copy though. Looks like they also have an arm64 version.
- banashark 4y agoI believe the use-case is in the first sentence: "Microsoft Validation OS is a lightweight, fast, and customizable Windows 11-based operating system that you can use on the factory floor to diagnose, mitigate and repair hardware defects during Windows device manufacturing." One potential reason this exists is perhaps that they can give manufacturers a single tool to determine whether there hardware meets the standards. Not sure what they do now (I'd assume a suite of separate tools which will probably continue to be used with this).
- aliswe 4y agoWhere is the price tag?
- brian_herman 4y agoIt is not a regular operating system it is only used for validation. This assumes that the customer that is using your services has a Windows License.
