I bet someone could make a solid SaaS business around streamlining this. Hard part would be recurring revenue, but I would bet there's a compliance play for long term revenue.
- jcalabro 4y agoI'm not sure there's coverage for all the specific work of opening restaurants, but Stripe Atlas [0] is one offering that exists for this purpose. There's also LegalZoom [1]. - mindvirus 4y agoMaybe, but it's not always possible or straightforward. It's probably a much lower bar to streamline it like this. Fixing the system is often an uphill battle. Maybe existing restaurants will fight against it, cities need the revenue from it, it's a complex mix of federal, state and city laws, etc.
- hnthrowaway0315 4y agoI'd be surprised if there is no company running such a business, probably a more traditional one, not an SaaS one. At least in China I know there are companies that run business taking care of registration (and other chores) of new companies. It may take months if you don't use their service, but maybe merely a couple of weeks if you do.
