Interesting - where does it say this is by popularity (not doubting, I just didn't see it). And I'm surprised that blue is on top of orange. Edit: playing around, it looks like an exhaustive list of all the colors users have. I found one that wasn't there (ff6501), changed my color to it, and it appeared in the list (somewhere in the middle). Then I changed it to something else, and it disappeared

  It's not clear precisely what the list represents. I'm guessing it excludes people who have never messed with the bar color at all, so the #2 spot is held by people who either poked around with the color settings and just left it orange or reverted after changing it to something else.

    Apparently per other comments it's only editable if you have 250+ karma, so maybe it is more common for that group to change their color? Although I'd be surprised most people, even with higher karma, know about that feature. I didn't until today, or at least had forgotten

  Meanwhile I've been using the same color since I hit the 250 bar, and my color (32CD32) isn't on the list at all. Though there are a few similar ones

    I just looked and saw it in the list... maybe someone else just changed theirs after reading your comment

  Honestly, I was just assuming it based on the URL which is "/topcolors". Although, taking a look at the source, I don't see anything to indicate that that's actually true. Seems to just list whichever colors it comes across, so I think you're right, it's just a list of all colors: (defop topcolors req (minipage "Custom Colors" (tab (each c (dedup (map downcase (trues [uvar _ topcolor] (users)))) (tr (td c) (tdcolor (hex>color c) (hspace 30)))))))

For anyone confused by this, you can apparently only change the "topcolor" if you have 250+ karma. Perhaps I should lurk less...

  You can downvote, flag or vouch comments when you reach a higher threshold. By the way, I recently reached 10k karma and I was expecting a written letter from @dang himself, but still nothing. I guess I gotta work harder.

      pretty sure there is a milestone after that, im just under 1k and can downvote but can't flag/vouch comments (can flag but not vouch submissions though, weirdly)

Why would blue be above the default? That just doesn't make sense without some more information (was blue the default some time ago?)

  topcolor default to nil when the user is created, and the default color is set by the code instead. It's only when the user changes the color, as the value gets persisted.

My fave is f6f6ef, same as the content background, so the top bar blends in.

You can downvote, flag or vouch comments when you reach a higher threshold. By the way, I recently reached 10k karma and I was expecting a written letter from @dang himself, but still nothing. I guess I gotta work harder.
