Open source games can combat cheats with machine learning models
- sylware 4y agoyes and no: I don't see a massively played open source game able to pay for the storage resource for good neural network training data and detection data (maybe this is how dota2 overwatch is working... but its ain't a small open source game with very small server and bandwidth resources). It is said the AI based cheats for FPS games cannot be detected since they smooth a normal player aim and trigger into a very good player aim and trigger (and this is external to the hardware). Anyways, we all know that classic anti-cheats are not working and a really bad excuse to favor consoles or the windoz OS (for non FPS games ofc, since it is gg for FPS games). Hope this is not m$ and its proxies which are pulling the strings on this.
