It is mathematically a subset of greater fool theory. But so is gold, diamonds, Bugatti supercars, etc... however beautiful women(or men) are attracted to the latter. The former are usually unattractive, especially if you're trying to explain why they're attractive
- JoachimS 4y agoAs Gates probably would have noticed (considering he is comparing to a farm and company producing products), gold and diamonds have utility value outside the value people are giving to it. One could argue that a Bugatti have a utility value too.
