Am I weird? I never get bored. My problem is that I don’t feel I have enough time and energy to do everything that I want to do.
I have a bunch of things I want to learn, a bunch of side projects I want to complete, a bunch of books I want to read, one or two books I want to write. Trying to do all that while still working and caring for family and doing the day to day responsibilities makes me wish for more hours in a day.
- Hortinstein 4y agoI'm in this spot to. My backlog for programming projects I want to do alone is reaching steam backlog proportions. I also struggle to even keep a to-do list since new things are added daily for leisure activities.
- al_borland 4y agoThis seems like a better problem to have. Over time you'll do a lot of cool stuff and have interesting things to talk about. I have stuff I would like to want to do. I've had stuff on my to do list of cool projects for years, but I rarely translate that into action to actually do them. The result of that is boredom or just killing time. I think part if it is that I don't think I'll have enough time, so I don't start. If I have a couple weeks off work, after 4-6 days of decompressing and accept that I have time, I'll usually start in on some kind of project. But with work I'm mostly just plugging in my battery to charge so I can do it again the next day.
