Ask HN: Are YouTube Comments Working?
I see that there are YouTube comments (i.e. 757 Comments), but I don't see them, only the text box to enter a new one.
- saltminer 4y agoIn addition to YouTube comments, I can't load Google Photos conversations with people I've shared photos to or activity on shared albums.

- themodelplumber 4y agoSame here. It seems like it's trying to load them though, showing the spinning indicator.
- annagrigoryan2 4y agoSame not working + some google features!

- mftb 4y agoSame. Have you looked at client vs server? I'm on FF on Linux.
- danuker 4y agoSame here. They seem to load now.
- ww520 4y agoJust half hour ago, comments on videos cannot be seen.

- newbieuser 4y agoAre these errors regional or general? Are there cases where applications such as youtube run services in different versions depending on the region?

- tragictrash 4y agoI can confirm I saw this happen today
- trebor 4y agoI think this is intentional behavior on Google’s part, to disincentivize use of ad blockers.
- lioeters 4y agoYouTube comments have been broken for me for a while now (a year or two) on Firefox with uBlock. I see the comments list and avatars, but no text. I don't mind it enough to disable uBlock.
- the_only_law 4y agoMan I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I'm on a bottom bin Android device right now, and chalked it up to the instability of the device fucking something up again
