The way I remember it is that it counts from 1 to 7: 2006-01-02T15:04:05Z-0700 It's unfortunate that the year is 2006 and sandwiched between the minute and TZ offset, but this keeps the day at Monday (1st day of the week, for many anyway) so that's nice.
