- johndoe0815 4y agoSome other bugs that bother me (in macOS 12.4): - It's impossible to click buttons or select files in open/save dialogs (maybe also others) when using a zoomed screen, e.g. in Safari - Preview crashes when moving a text annotation from one page to another - ...losing some of the annotations on the way (even though the document was saved) which can be recovered using [1] - AirDrop only works when both devices are logged into iCloud (though Apple might consider this a feature) - Mail has problems reconnecting to some servers when a connection was interrupted, takes ages to quit [1] https://github.com/julihoh/pdf_annotation_fix https://github.com/julihoh/pdf_annotation_fix
- ggm 4y agoUSB-C randomly marks ports tainted so specific devices won't work until reboot. Reattach to USB-C hubbed ethernet fails, no clear path to force reset alive. Random plug unplugs sometimes work. Bluetooth loses connectivity to Apple kbd and magic pad. Gui can't remember screen to desktop placement across plug unplug replug of screen. Tail console. Unbelievably chatty error log streams from many subsystems hunting for optional elements and different models behaviour. We're now running legacy code depending on compatibility ABI support in many cases. Btw I still love my mac.
