I think the main way I change the desktop image is to open the Desktop prefs pane and drag a picture in there. Mostly from the Finder. Or from Preview.

- al_borland 4y agoDid you know about the “Set Desktop Picture” option in the Finder right-click menu?
- egypturnash 4y agoNever noticed it before, nope.
- egypturnash 4y agoAh, no wonder I never noticed it - it's buried under "Services" on 11.6.4, which is my current OS. Also it seems to always set the image to "Fill Screen", which is never what I want. So I'd be right-clicking on the desktop and hitting "Change Desktop Background" anyway.
