For me it has got to be Disgaea (can't figure which one though). The whole chess like movement, rpg leveling and just overall fun from having to think about the moves I make and live with randomness. There are many games that follow this tactical rpg ruleset but this is probably one of the better known one. If I were to pick a non electronic game then it would be mancala.
