This is just political vindictiveness against the EV industry and virtue signaling their support for the fossil fuel industry.

Otherwise, it's just condemnation based on baseless speculation. There's probably far more reason to say the backlash here against the bill is just "political vindictiveness against the fossil fuel industry and virtue signaling their support for the EV industry," since there are actual comments with enough emotional tone to infer the commenters feelings.
