And I have a feeling that whatever subsidies the "oil and gas industry," gets as a whole, independent filling stations see very little of that money.

  While it is important to highlight subsidies to oil and gas industry, those numbers in particular is one I usually avoid because it uses things like traffic accidents cause by using cars and traffic congestion, and then uses that to calculate a value that can be compared to GDP. What that mean is that some of those subsidies included in that number also apply to EV cars, which makes it a bit nonsensical. It also means that if we apply it to GDP we get a GDP that is greater than 100%, which is also nonsensical.
