- ALittleLight 4y agoThis is simply an implementation detail of how language models are used and is not relevant to the question of sentience. You could trivially run the language model without waiting for a prompt, or off a random prompt, or whatever. The fact that a computer program is run at specific times doesn't mean it is sentient or not.
