With regards to Vulkan support on macOS, there’s MoltenVK [0].
> MoltenVK is a Vulkan Portability implementation. It layers a subset of the high-performance, industry-standard Vulkan graphics and compute API over Apple's Metal graphics framework, enabling Vulkan applications to run on macOS, iOS and tvOS.

- smoldesu 4y agoIt's worth noting that MoltenVK is not on the same level as something like DXVK. You can't expect Steam Deck-level translation performance because Metal is simply a higher-level abstraction than Vulkan. There's inherent performance loss (as well as architectural bottlenecks) that prevent you from getting that 1:1 parity with the native version. It's a neat project to be sure, but it doesn't exactly enable developers to just dump their games on MacOS and call it a day.
