I'm not sure if it qualifies as useful, but a while back I hacked together a web push notifications site[1] for RPAN live streamers after Reddit ripped away in-site notifications. It didn't gain traction because the admins/mods banned and forbade me from speaking about it, and because I couldn't offer iOS notifications, but ~1,000 people still use it to get ~25,000 notifications every day. For the first several months, I was getting a message or email every day asking when iOS web push was coming, and the timing couldn't be more perfect that Reddit just effectively shut down their live streaming the same day that Apple finally enabled push.
